I knew you'd ask. So here's the story. (read owner's bio)

It all started on a conference call one morning at four a.m.

I was drinking coffee and trying to understand what all my co-workers were talking about-something about the submicron copper interconnects on a microprocessor, I think. We had people from Hong Kong, Israel, France, Texas and Scotland on the line. Now with all due respect, these guys are extremely bright and speak English better than I could ever speak French. But between the technical jargon and the accents (especially Texas), I was lost!

So I thought: there must be a job I can do where everyone speaks English and lives in the same time zone.

The only thing I could come up with was a bait shop. But suddenly, it dawned on me. Fishing flies and lures are made of the most colorful feathers, fur and sparkles imaginable-and seemingly intelligent MEN FEED THESE THINGS TO A FISH!

It’s a family business. So we’re not the best dancers, but we know how to have fun both in and out of the office.

ChickBait products are packaged in Phoenix, Arizona at Epi-Hab, a facility which employs the physically challenged. Epi-Hab employees also assemble our snap swivel bracelets. They do a great job!


Dad, who taught us all to fish, presents a trophy to Max at the semi-annual family fishing tournament in Illinois.
